THE TONY PEEBLES TRIO: “A TRIBUTE TO THE SONNY ROLLINS TRIO!”

Grammy winning Tony Peebles on tenor sax leads this hard-hitting chordless trio in a night of exciting originals and arrangements of works honoring the great Sonny Rollins.   Tony was a founding member of the Pacific Mambo Orchestra, and performed on every track (one as featured soloist) of its Grammy winning debut album in 2014. Tony’s incredible diversity as a musician have allowed him to perform in many musical genres with high-profile artists such as Lenny Williams (Tower of Power), Karl Parazzo (Santana), Doc Severinson, Fred Wesley, Wil Blades, John Lee Hooker Jr. to name just a few.  Tony has toured Europe, Africa, Australia, and the Americas performing in major festivals and prestigious music venues. Tony recently returned from the famed Montreux Jazz Festival. The trio will feature a rhythm section of heavy hitters: Yafeu Tyhimba on bass and Genius Wesley on drums.
