A versatile Bay Area-based trumpet player, Mike Olmos has been a fixture on stages ranging from the Montreal Jazz Festival to Yoshi’s in Oakland. He’s collaborated with an impressive list of some of the best musicians across jazz, soul, rock, hip hop, and more in Etta James, Beck, Roy Ayers, Seal, Talib Kweli, Meshelle N’degeocello, Bilal, Dayna Stephens, Michael Brecker, and others.
In the Bay Area, he’s played with acts in the Marcus Shelby Jazz Orchestra, Pete Escovedo, Lavay Smith and her Red Hot Skillet Lickers, Aadam Shulman, Jesus Diaz y Su QBA, Atta Kid, Collectivity, The Jazz Mafia, Wil Blades, Eddie Roberts, Lilan Kane, John Calloway and Josh Jones.
