Here for TWO NIGHTS ONLY, 20 year-old piano sensation Luca Mendoza is downstairs at Black Cat playing with his collective. His compositions are truly unique, blending influences anywhere from Thelonious Monk, to Meshuggah, to James Blake. He is an award-winning pianist and composer who is quickly rising in the U.S. jazz scene. He is a Los Angeles Philharmonic Composer Fellow and currently Downbeat Magazine’s Best College Soloist.
