KNMDK (pronounced knomadik) embodies Detroit: an explosively-charged collective that shatters all music boundaries,  melding jazz, groove, funk, hiphop and electronic sounds, rhythms and beats into a rich, inspiring and mind-blowing fusion experience.  Their repertoire of originals, classics and standards unfolds in magical and unpredictable ways. KNMDK is led by Oberlin educated De’Sean Jones, a world-renowned musician who has built an international reputation for his powerhouse tenor sax sound and unique approach to modern jazz and electronic music.  “I want to make music that is genre bending, soulful and thought provoking,” says Jones. And KNMDK accomplishes that, and a lot more! Jones’ incredible versatility is reflected in his extensive musical collaborations with icons in many genres: jazz legend Christian McBride, musical great Stevie Wonder, and Hip Hop artist Rick Ross.  Jones is an active member of the legendary electronic music collective Underground Resistance. He has toured the world and co-produced records with Techno Pioneer Mike Banks and keyboardist Jon Dixon. His last album “Knomadik Reverence” surged on the Billboard Jazz charts.
